Nov 18, 2018 The 2375 was Ibanez’ Stratocaster copy model and beneath the 2350 LP copy probably one of the best selling models in the early to mid 70s. It doesn’t have a serial number so it’s built before mid 75 when Ibanez introduced the rserila system. The stamp on the back of the pickguard and the pots date this model to 1974. Most Ibanez models with this serial number format were made by FujiGen Gakki. Exceptions are the Ibanez Blazer models which were made by Dyna Gakki and the Axstar by Ibanez models AX40, AX45, AX48, AXB50, AXB60, AXB65, AX70, AX75 which were made by Chushin Gakki. Used 1979 Ibanez Roadster Bass serial number E790934.
This bass is in good condition, the neck is straight and the frets are good. Cosmetically this bass has seen plenty of action, dam the torpedoes full speed ahead. There are wear marks, scratches, nicks and chips abounding, mostly on the body but some marks on the back of the neck. If you appreciate patina, this is it!
The Roadster RS800 is a pro level instrument made in Japan. These basses are reminiscent of a P-bass in feel and playing. The Super 4 pickup however is quite powerful and delivers a hot tone, bringing to mind a cross between a MusicMan and a P-bass and is placed in a sweet spot.
The RS-800’s appeal is in its straightforward simplicity. These bass guitars were at the very front of the Ibanez line debuting a new neck technology called the TR Tuned Response.
The neck has individually tuned pieces of steel embedded under the fingerboard that are perfectly tuned to the frequency of each string so that every note plays perfectly without any dead spots or sour notes.
This is a cool piece of Japanese electric bass evolution, the combination of the Super 4 pickup and the Accu-Cast B high mass bridge deliver on the tone. If you like instruments with patina, don’t pay extra to be “relic-ed” grab this one with a story to tell!
Case not included. Cases and gig bags available separately.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the 'mint' category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, 'I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well.' Another person may say, 'Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish.' So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.

I don’t own one yet but I’m on the hunt 😉
